HI all,
well i am 3 days old with linux, am using mandrake 9.2.
setup and install went fine un til i tried to get online.
Now this is what i did, since i have a USB-ADSL Modem, and i found outt hat linux is not too friendly with such devices, i searched online for hours and found the following website:
http://www.eciadsl.flashtux.org
They have developed linux drivers for almosty all USB ADSL modems, ehnce afetr installation.. and configuration fot he driver to my specific modem (GLOBESPAN VIRATA), i tried to start the connection using the following commandline:

this gave me an output saying :

please help me... and if posible mention commadline inputs as they are to e
be entred...(i'm realy new at this
) )...
i am really keen to get online with linux.. and move forward and onward with my steep learning curve jes need a lil guidance here :-)
