Question Philips SPC325NC, camorama error

I recently bought a webcam (blindly), not knowing if it'd work with Linux or not. When i plugged it in i did lsusb i saw that it was there. After that i did " camorama " in the terminal, total failure. "Error (camorama" 'Could not connect to video device (/dev/video0). Please check connection.'" So i thought this might be a common error, so i scoured Google for an answer and found several, problem was, they did didly squat. After being disappointed at Google (not the first time), i went to a few IRC networks and asked around, they gave me a few things that also failed.
I've run my brain through a few possibilities and i got nothing, Help me fix this please!

please and thank you
