Just hazarding a guess, is it possible the regex in "if ($process =~ /Missing:/) {" isn't matching? As in if the output had a lower case "m" instead of the capital "M", or possibly you might need to escape out the colon "\:"? Again, just a guess because everything looks fine otherwise.
