Passing a text file in Redhat 9 to honeyd

HI there.
Lets say I have a text file with some content in it-a.txt

I want to pass this file to honeyd to use it as a template.
Honeyd is a low interactive virtual honeypot.
Now to run honeyd, the command is:.honeyd -p nmap.prints -f honeyd.conf 192.168.1.0/24.
Now I want to replace the contents of *.conf to the content that I have in the a.txt.
How can I do this?Pls help.

Thanks a million.Appreciate it
James

You probably haven't gotten a response because your question either has a simple answer that people assume would be obvious to you if you are using something as sophisticated as honeyd, or it is something arcane to do with honeyd.

The simple answer is: invoke "cp a.txt honeyd.conf".

Looking at the honeyd manpage, it appears that you don't even need to overwrite any existing honeyd.conf - you can just use the argument "-f a.txt" in your honeyd invocation.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
