opensxbmc


I'm running OpenElec on a raspberry pi and would like to know how to connect to Samba. xbmbx3 add on asks for the samba server?

If you know the samba server ip go in xbmc>videos>files>Add Source and type there the path to the folder in the samba server in which you have the media files like:

smb://10.0.0.3/shared_Folder/Movies

if you have also a music folder in the samba server then in xbmc>music>files>Add Sourcer and type there the path to the folder in the samba server in which you have the music files like:

smb://10.0.0.3/shared_Folder/Music

Remember check the local ip address for your samba server (The ip assigned by your router at home, not the internet ip) and replace the 10.0.0.3 I used on the example above.
