nvidia


while trying to install nvidia drivers i get this:


rpm -i NVIDIA*
package NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-4191 is already installed
warning: user buildmeister does not exist - using root
warning: group buildmeister does not exist - using root
warning: user buildmeister does not exist - using root
warning: group buildmeister does not exist - using root


i am using Redhat 8.0

I'm not much at Linux either, but you might wanna try removing your drivers, then reinstalling them. I'm a too.

try searching for nvidia, there are tons of a nvidia posts.

you have to root to install rpm packages

i did do it in root, and i tried uninstalling them and it keeps saying that its not installed and when I do try to install them it says that they are already installed. Its like somekind of loop

To remove them, don't use the filename, ie:

rpm -e nvidia_glx

NOT

rpm -e nvidia_glx_foo_bar.rpm
