Unhappy NS2.31 NAM problem - "[code omitted because of length]"

When you install NS-2.31 in ubuntu 10.04 most of the time you cannot run network animator. The following Error will appear,

nam: [code omitted because of length] : no event type or button # or keysym while executing "bind Listbox <MouseWheel> { %W yview scroll [expr {- (%D / 120) * 4}] units }" invoked from within "if {[tk windowingsystem] eq "classic" || [tk windowingsystem] eq "aqua"} { bind Listbox <MouseWheel> { %W yview scroll [expr {- (%D)}] units } bind Li..."

Hi,

i use fedora 10, i installed ns2.31 and i had the same problem when i run the nam.
i downloaded the binary nam in the link above, what i must do after this please?

You can also download this package : nam-1.14-fc6.el5.i386.tar.gz

Either may be usable.

Like the text says :
tar xvf nam-1.14.i586.tar.gz
cd nam-1.14*/
# cp nam /usr/local/bin/
