No root file system is defined.


I am trying to install Ubuntu 11. 3 or is it 6 and I am wanting an Ubuntu only install using all the hard drive that has been wiped but as soon as I get to using the whole drive bit I get , No root file system is defined. So please where do I go from there.

Create a root partition, or let the installer create the needed partitions.

Take a look at

In general you need to create a
/ => root
/home
and swap partition.
