Newbie needs help with Broadcom 4318

Hoping someone can help me out as I am totally new to linux.

Currenty I am running FC6 on my Compaq V2311US machine and want to set up the wireless function. However I have been reading that this could be a problem area.

My question is how do I go about setting it up? I need simple step by step instructions as I have never really touched Linux before so I am kinda slow at this.

This is a much asked question. Look through the networking and wireless forums. But, most importantly, click the search button and enter "broadcom 43".

I have read some of the posts but I am totally new to linux and still find it a bit confusing.

Definitely search for how it is to be done but you have to blacklist the bcm43xx module and use ndiswrapper. Plenty of resources.
