No problem, that's what we're here for. If it helps any I recall having some dhcp problems back with 10.0 so installing the 10.2 should take care of it for ya.

this is now at least solved, if not fixed. what you have to do is turn acpi off with "acpi=off" at boot.

Well, that's a start, but for a laptop you'll want acpi functions so I wouldn't leave it at that if it were me.
