need advice on version to use please


maybe fedora core 3 isnt for me?
is there a more suitable version?

i have a ....

gateway celeron 900
160 meg ram
plenty hard drive
I810 chipset
newbie user

I would like this box to be a webserver ifpossible

slackware might be what you're looking for. check out thier site

use reiserfs FS/XFS(this is for servers,do read the documentation for both)

if u can avoid installing the GUI then it wil be good for u

close unrequired services
