Hey! Sorry it's taken me a week to get back to you guys, but thanks again for your help. I checked ifconfig and didn't see anything listed for wireless (I should have seen a subsection entitled wlan0, right?). I tried the iwlist thing that was suggested, but I didn't get anything (it said iwlist: unknown command `wlan0' (check 'iwlist --help')).
When I downloaded the drivers from the website, I got 4 possible ones to use with my wireless adapter. Two of them didn't work, and the other two said they were installed (at different times, I didn't install both of them at once because I figured that probably wouldn't work), but didn't get the adapter to detect any wireless networks.
Also, I used this wireless adapter a few weeks ago with this computer when I still had Windows installed, and it worked perfectly.
Does anyone have another idea? I can connect to the internet through a cable no problem, so I may call it quits unless there's something else I can try.
