mysql data import

hi guys,
i am in a situation to copy data from my mysqlserver to another one to keep as a backup.
i am not able to use mysqlhotcopy as these are in two servers
and in doubt of using dump commands as the data is somewhat huge.

any help from you guys.

Wy not just set the other one up as a slave?
