I have multiple PCs with only one HD and upwards of 30 installed distros, two with more than 40.

My only attempt with Elementary OS was a dead end. Zorin I never found reason to try, yet. There are many ways to fail.

I'm using Elementry right now and so far it doesn't float my boat. Zorin on the other hand shows real promise. I'm looking for Systems that are user friendly, Mint is the front runner. By the way, all 6 Systems on my comp booted perfectly right down the line.

It's 5:00 AM, I've been up all night and I'm a bit brain dead...So my observations may be a bit skewed.

While I was doing freelance graphics, I also did freelance IT work. The first and foremost thing I learned is KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). At the time I was in my 40s, I had people I had done IT work for calling 24/7. The downside of helping others.

I want a System that is easy to learn for technophobes. A month or so ago, I was in the electronic dept of a local store buying even more 16 GB USB drives (I go through these things like candy to use as installers). An old guy, probably my age, was buying a cell phone. He demanded the clerk set it up for him, the clerk said he wasn't allowed to do this, the old guy threw a tantrum and demanded his money back.

Some people seem to have an aversion to thinking. I want to come in, preferably with a preloaded drive that includes YouTube links on to how to use the system I'm giving them; then put their old drives in an external USB case, and let them loose to learn. I'll also do hardware upgrades, but usually only high end machines can be upgraded very much.

Sorry, I'm rambeling. But unlike when I tried to work with Linux Red Hat and Yellow Dog probably 15 years ago, the newer Linux Systems are far more user friendly.

So if you have a System to suggest I try, please do so; bye for now.

Just a bit ago I finished composing a response to your request for suggest. The result is desribed in this new thread. The summary redo in lieu of trying to remember and recompose it all is this:

I'll check it out

I already managed to bomb and reinstall Mint, I understand this is somewhat hard to do. I guess I have a knack.
