my compiz is not working

hey i m a new linux 8 helena (32bit) user
my laptops requirements are

intel celeron 2.16
2gb ram
intel gma 4500m

i have compiz installed . i also check my compizconfig manager.
but still my 3d desktop isnt working

i also put
inxi -c0 -G
in the terminal . i got
Graphics: Card Intel Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller X.Org 1.6.4 Res: 1366x768@60.0hz
GLX Renderer N/A GLX Version N/A
please help.

That would be Linux Mint 8?

gma4500 graphics throws up a number of bugs - some of the mobile intel cards have quite limited openGL support too. Please tell us how you are trying to get the 3D effects working and how you know they are not. how and what did you check in compizconfig settings manager?

yes it would b linux mint 8

i went to package manager from the menu to see if my compiz installed or not. it is installed.

then i went to- control center/look and feel/ compiz config setting manager

and put check the effect i want . not even a single effect is working.
i also follow some guide for web that which effects shuld be checked.
But still no use.
