MPlayer


can i get some there mplayer in rmp form?coz i downloaded the files,but have no idea how to compile them or something like that.any help is appreciated

There's a link on MPlayer's download page that takes you to a place where you can download RPMs for Fedora and Red Hat. If you're not using either of those, then try using your distro's package manager as you're likely to be able to find it there.

i m using suse 10.i just never compiled and dont know what to do.

You probably don't need to compile it. The package manager for SUSE is YaST, try looking there for a way to add new packages. I've not used SUSE, so can't give exact details.

all i see is xxx.c(c++ filrs), make file,etc.....i ll read the instrunction.thanks any way

If you want to compile the source, then there's a guide here. Edit: if you want to compile, why ask for an RPM?

Ask in the suse forum on this site how you can get the package repositories for Suse that contain Mplayer, MP3 support, video codecs, dvd playing and all that good stuff. Compiling stuff is a real PITA most of the time
