Question Mozilla 1.7 and about:config problem

Hey all...

Some very strange things are happening here....

Today I tried a little bit javascripting in my URL (sounds strange but I need that often for watching cookies etc)

code is:
javascript:alert(document.cookie)
I remember how this worked first when I Installed slackware 10.0

but today it suddenfly didn't work anymore..

so I had a look at about:config and it's totally blank
nothing is there.. well nothing viewable is there.

As far as I know are my javascript plugins still enabled
View - Preferences -> Advanced

somebody knows how I can aptch this problem ?

Information:
Slackware 10.0
Kernelversion 2.4
Mozilla 1.7
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040618

as far as I know i've got already the newest flashplayer David@330.. Flashplayer can execute javascript that true.. but it's not a part of about:config.. so I am not sure if that would really matter..

At least I remember that about:config and javascript:alert(document.cookie) already worked on this system..
