Start a text editor and open /etc/fstab.old with the text editor.

Have you tried booting back into windows and doing a scan disk..If windows didnt shut down cleanly or file system isnt clean might be reason linux wont mount it..I remember on my external usb drive..Under windows if i just turned it off and then booted into linux later..linux wouldnt mount it..had to boot back into windows and mount it and unmount it cleanly.Then it worked.

hi everybody,

i have the same case here using Mandriva one 2009 (KDE)
i have mount the NTFS partition but i can't write on it.
how to read/write on the drive?
