more functions with rsync

is it possible to capture data from an rsync operation like the size of folders being synced, the time it took, the changes that were copied over and then the total amount of data that was transferred across and then have all that data sent via email to my email address?

Yes.
Write a small script to print date/source/dest, perform the rsync with -v and such, print date.
Then just run it and pipe the output to 'mail' or such cli mailer, or just stick it in cron (which mails output automatically as well).
