module-init-tools

Hi iam trying to comile the 2.6.7 kernel....I follow the steps as described in the General Section....When i run the make modules_install the following warning appears

Warning: you may need to install module-init-tools

What are they?

The make modules_install after that message returns much errors
e.x "depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.6.7/kernel/........."

Can u suggest me something? I need the new 2.6.7 kernel..
Thx a lot guys
