modem not initialized SuSE 9.2

I switched recently from SuSE 9.0 to SuSE 9.2. And I am having a problem with modem Lucent/Agere 56k.
When I run Qinternet it says
sending ATDT, then sending ATQ0, then again resending ATDT or ATQ0 im not sure which one
and then says:
modem not initialized
conect script failed

I configured the modem as it shoulon Suse 9.0 but it wont work.
On Suse 9.0 worked perfectly, on windows too. The modem just won't make that clicking sound and starts dialing.

help anyone?
