Missing codecs

Hi

I'm trying to watch some videos, but I get the message that "Windows media audio 9 codecs are missing" (or something like that.)

Can anyone help?

Btw - I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 and I have also installed the VLC player. And yes, I'm a newbie. :-)

Thanks Valdez

Yeah, I ran this one: "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras" and things started happening. Now this text is at the bottom:

"Processing triggers for libc-bin ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place" - does that mean installation has finished?

If there are no errors, it should be installed.

Great, Repo. Question: exactly where did the files come from? it still seems like magic to me. Actually, I dig the way Linux works. Soon I'll have to find out how it works. I don't really understand repositories and such yet.

Anyways, I'm amazed at how smooth it's going. Very few problems. I want to learn how to utilize the terminal though. It's like "run" in windows, but a lot cooler.
