Mint 18 Cinnamon - can I use the Mint-X background as the lock screen?

Hi folks,

I have the Mint-X theme as my login screen, and I've chosen a specific image for my desktop background.
My lockscreen is set to use the desktop background image.

I would like to keep my current desktop background image, but change the lockscreen image to be the image used in the Mint-X theme.

I have the image I want to use saved separately. I am aware that the login and lockscreens are separate functions - as I understand it, the login screen is part of a core system function and the lockscreen is basically an app.

Does anyone know if what I want to do is possible, and if yes - how?

Thanks,
Stuart

I have not used Mint in awhile, but you should be using MDM. So you should be able to go to menu, system settings, administration then Login Window. That is where you change your theme, and possibly just the image.

Hi dab1414,

Yep, Login Window allows me to change the login screen.

What I'd like to do is change the Lock Screen image - I can see where to do it (Screensaver), and I can choose either the desktop image or animated screensavers.
I'd like to have the lock screen display a different static image to the desktop, but that isn't shown as an option.

Anyone know if this is possible?

Cheers.
