Menu in bash - Programing


You know in the slackware installation how they make those menus? Or in links text browser menus? How can I program those in bash? Thanks.

I haven't seen slackware, but by any chance you are referring to ncurses? http://www.google.com/search?&q=ncurses

But that seems to be in C, not bash.

ncurses also supplies the program tput.

I believe most of the Slackware scripts use the dialog tool to create the nifty menus. See "man dialog" for more information.

So you have to install package named dialog.
