Post Memtest - How to install and run


Using LM 15 olivia, new install. Need to install and run memtest. i looked for step by step directions within LQ. Would like to run before bed, east cst time here. Ill continue searching. Newbie here. System still up 1 mem module out.

Hi,

so I guess you found the documentation in /usr/share/doc/memest86/. On Debian derived systems (such as Mint), it is good to get into the habit of checking /usr/share/doc/<package>/ whenever you install something. The README.Debian often provides a succinct description of how to use the software provided by the package.
