Media:/ KDE mediamanager is not running.

How do I fix this problem? I am brand new to Linux and not very computer literate . So, please use simple terminology and instruction. Thank you!

If it helps, I have had multiple issues running a simple Music CD, but Cd-rom programs work fine. This issue was confronted in Word Processor while attempting to save to USB.

In the KDE control center, under the KDE Components tab, you'll find a selection called Service Manager. Click on that and it will show you a lot of KDE services. Media Manager is one of those. Make sure it is running. If it is tagged as running, stop it then restart it.

This should get you going unless you have some other problems. You didn't specify a distro or a version, so I will warn you that some older KDE versions had this feature working less than perfectly. It does seem to be OK in the 3.5.5 and later versions.
