Manual RHEL 6 Network configuration

Hello All,

I installed RHEL 6 Beta 2 on ESX box and found that network is to be manually started through ifup command. Is it expected behaviour?

Do we need to add this entry manually everytime we run RHEL 6 Beta?

BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=yes

if the ip will comes from your dhcp server then the answer is yes unless you manually encode your ip address

@linuxunix: NO, setting those values in the relevant eth file eg /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 will cause it to (try) to activate automatically on boot...
