Hi again.
Sorry for the late reply, had to get some stuff with my LinuxQuestions.org profile sorted out.
As

I've had a similar problem and I know the DVD is good because I've played it before using Windows.

I've even played them using Mandrake on the same box! What's happened since is I've had a situation where I've had to reboot evertime I wanted to see what's on another CD/floppy. Got that sorted out with
supermount -i enable though I still need to
supermount -i disable and reboot when I want to write/burn CDs.
Currently, Konqueror will read the CDRW only.
My /mnt folder has got all the drives/devices:
Quote:
/mnt/cdrom <-- DVD ROM
/mnt/cdrom2 <-- CD RW works fine
/mnt/floppy <-- Floppy 3.25"
