Mandrake doesn't read from the DVD

Hi.

Problem in a nutshell
Mandrake doesn't read from the DVD

More detail
I've got a DVD on my PC. Mandrake sees it and mount it as /mnt/cdrom. I've got supermount activated as well. When I put a CD/DVD in the DVD drive and tell Konqueror to read/mount /mnt/cdrom, I get a blank pane, like when you view an empty folder.

I've even tried reading DVD drive with k3b, and it tells me that there's no disk in it.

Can anyone help? Any sugesstions?

k

Can the DVD be read from Windows (just to make sure the DVD is good)?

Problem

I've had a similar problem and I know the DVD is good because I've played it before using Windows.

Re: Problem

Hi again.
Sorry for the late reply, had to get some stuff with my LinuxQuestions.org profile sorted out.

As dudeman41465 says:

I've even played them using Mandrake on the same box! What's happened since is I've had a situation where I've had to reboot evertime I wanted to see what's on another CD/floppy. Got that sorted out with supermount -i enable though I still need to supermount -i disable and reboot when I want to write/burn CDs.

Currently, Konqueror will read the CDRW only.
My /mnt folder has got all the drives/devices:

/mnt/cdrom <-- DVD ROM
/mnt/cdrom2 <-- CD RW works fine
/mnt/floppy <-- Floppy 3.25"
