Mandrake 8.2 installation trouble.

i want to install mandrake on my 28gig hard drive. only problem is i freeze at

Partition check:
hda:

it just wont go farther past that, i can tell it not to probe that drive, and it detects my 4gig hd fine, only problem is, i don't want it on the 4gig, too small. so what can i do? im completely at wits end.

oh, btw, it's a Quantum fireball drive.

Go to your HD's manufacturer site and download a utility that formats your HD.

I believe that Mandrake actually comes with some files to format the disk before hand. During the startup process, press the (I think) F3 button to get to the "other options" screen. There may be a suggestion in there on how to do this, or try just straight up typing fdisk /dev/hdxx where xx is the disk you want to format. Good luck
