[SOLVED] "make mrproper" does not work: fs/aufs/Makefile:3: fs/aufs/magic.mk No such file or directory

The command runs at location :

/usr/src/linux-headers-5.4.0-26-generic

And the version of Linux is 5.8.0-50-generic

I am writing my first kernel module for school OS project and setting up the environment by the teacher's tutorial.

However, I am stuck at this step and do not know how to fix that. Can anyone help? Thank you so much!

"make mrproper" deletes .config and all generated files. You do not have to do that for kernel headers. Follow the official module building instructions, not random tutorials you find on the web:
