I am trying to email from my work email and it fails because "unable to locate mail spool file". My email (gmail) works ok. What do i do?

The first thing that comes to mind is for you to call your tech-support people at your office.

Seriously, there's nothing we can tell you, based on what you've told us. We don't know version/distro of Linux, what kind of server, how it's configured, how you're logging in, what mail client(s) you're using, on what kind of local system, etc. In short, we know NOTHING that would let us even GUESS as to how to help you.

Since your Gmail works, that means your network is working. So, your tech-support people need to get involved.
