logout of gnome on fc3


okay guys, total n00b question... i need to log out of x on fc3 to install drivers, how do i do this? i know how to logout to the "choose user" screen but how can i start up to just a shell with no x running?

Why no X? theres no difference between that and doing it thru a console, but anyways from any screen hit Ctrl+F1 or 2,3,4,5 it will switch you between terminals, 7 being X11.

okay cool. well the install help for the driver says to quit x (it's a video card driver) so that's why... thanks!
