Local package install, Nothing To Do

First time caller....

I installed Centos 7 on as dual boot with Windows 10 (fresh install) and that all went well, but the Centos has no network. I ran nmtui and found it couldn't detect any wifi. I ran a "which NetworkManager-wifi*" and got no results so I figured I needed to install the rpm. I mounted the USB drive and found it but when I try to "yum install /media/usb/packages/NetworkManager-wifi..." it comes back with "Nothing to do".

Ideas?

Thanks,
Jim

What does "yum info NetworkManager-wifi.x86_64" show you? Does it show as "installed"?

As for wireless adapter, does "lspci -vv | grep -i net" show the network card?

Check your spelling.

I don't know what the "unknown" refers to, but I guess this is somehow related to the lack of network connections

Since yum seems to be unable to deal with inaccessible repos, how about rpm?
Code:
rpm -qa | grep -i network
