Linux wont let me open the cdrom

I run linux slackware 9.0 in KDE (I am totally newbie with linux)
And when i press the button on my cdrom, the cd wont come out... Why is it so ? how do i fix it ?

That's not an issue. This is actually a great function avoiding you to open the CD-rom when you should not do it

I believe you have mounted the cd rom as root (mount /mnt/cdrom). You could either unmount it (umount /mnt/cdrom) as root or eject it(type eject at the console, you need to have the eject program installed and it's installed by default

Oh yeah, you should not be located in the CD-rom directory, or using the CD-rom with another program or else it will return an error like "Could not eject/unmount, CD rom is busy".
