linux software raid1


On booting kernel says
sda1 has different UUID sdb1
later everthing is youst fine, and work ok. but that message is distressing

What this message means ? and what to do to corect it ?

I relize this post is about ten years old but I hate to see it ignored in case someone stumbles onto it in the future...

That is normal and should be expected. Check out:

I assume this was displayed during the boot process but if you're posting log information, it helps to specify the log and exact message. If this was something to be distressed about, I would be asking you which specific log file contains the message (ie. /var/log/syslog) and a detailed copy'n'paste of the line.

Additionally, any context that may help (ie. the previous line in the log).
