I've only tinkered with docker a little bit (a while back) so I may not be able to help much at this point except to suggest that others are going to be looking for the following information (and possibly more) before they can offer much help:
  • Linux distribution/version
  • total disk space installed
  • total disk space available (or, perhaps, not available)
  • what is your evidence showing the "out of space" condition (command you issued)
  • how many docker images
  • etc. etc.

Remember to use the "code" tags when posting commands and output. (For readability.)

Good luck...

I HAVE JUST USED THIS

RESIZING DISK SPACE
sudo lvm
lvextent -l +100%FREE /dev//ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv
sudo resize2fs /dev/ubuntu-vg/ubuntu-lv

DELETING DANGLING FILES

docker volume rm $(docker volume ls -qf dangling=true)
docker system prune
