Linux on PS3 - Wireless Connection - IP Address Problem

I have installed Yellow Dog Linux 6.1 on my PS3, and I am having trouble connecting to the internet. It WILL detect my modem and when I click connect, it gets to the bit where it's 'Obtaining IP Address', but from there it doesn't work.

Please can somebody help me, it would really mean alot.

Nothing so far suggests that's a Linux problem. Any reason DHCP wouldn't be working on your network?

I have exactly the same problem and It is a linux problem as:
- My PS3 internet conection works fine with original game OS, on linux it stops working
- It's not a DHCP or router pb as I have other 3 wirelesss connected laptops and one wired desktop. All just work fine and are getting IPs.

My PS3 just dispays "not connected" after taking a while in "getting ip adress"
