I'm trying to learn Linux and thought getting a mag. subscription would help. Is there a good one out there for desktop users (most of the ones i see are for IT people). Thanks!
Well which country are you in? In the UK I've been a reader of Linux Format for just over a year and I think it's a great publication for beginners and IT professionals alike.
before you buy a mag, I suggest you check out some linux news portals. I have consistently found that magazines are quite thin on information about linux compared to the linux internet sites
Also look at the website of the mags you have in mind.
In closing let me suggest cpu magazine. It's the one mag I find a great read. However, a mag just can't keep up with me and my daily dose of linux news.
