Question linux Distros Such as Cinnamon Mint 18.2, and Ubuntu 16.9.09 are unable to detect hard drives through Integral Host adapter to install OS

I'm working on some sort of Dell Server tower, labeled "Dell Precision T3600," for a classroom, and I'm trying to set it up to dual boot with windows 10 pro. Now normally these OS's don't have a conflict with each other, and I have pre-partitioned some Decent 22 GB for free space for the OS of either distro, but whenever I load either of the installation disks, both of them seem to detect that there is absolutely no free space for the disk to install itself into. Now I know that's untrue, and I have paired the two together naturally before on a regular type tower, so I'm believe it to be the raid host adapter that the Kernels are unable to process or seek through to detect the main hard drive that may be the issue here. As I had no issue whenever I installed the windows 10 pro into the tower, but I'm unsure what lines of code must be missing in both distros to completely ignore the adapter and believe there to be no hard drives in the system whatsoever. I checked the Disk checker on both Distros, and Neither one seemed to recognize or acknowledge any other Hard drives plugged into the system outside of the CD the ISO files were burned onto initially. What can I do to fix this?

We may need to know the answers to a few things.

Do drives show up in bios correctly?
Windows can sort of lock bios on some things like fast boot maybe as well as hibernate.
Do you use DVD's and is there a way to select uefi optical media as opposed to legacy.

Using windows 10 to discover the type of chip or raid chip may help.

You might be missing the driver for the raid card. Try booting with a live system and then check which driver is in use.

that's not going to be enough for windows 10.
