Linux DialupRouter-MINI .50

Somewhat new to Linux amd have a question. Have used Linux DialupRouter-MINI version 0.50 for the past 2-3 years on my little home network and love it with the 3-4 PCs that I have. It is a basic Linux boot disk that does very nice job of a dial on demand Internet routing. I use a P166 box with a USR 56K external model. I love this but lack the knowledge of updating it which I think some of the issues I have with it are due to the age of the versions of stuff on it. Since it is as old as the hills it has long been forgotten I am sure by the origional authors ("The U-nx Crew" at http://mpsdr.unx.nu/) Now the issues and a few questions... Since it is *way* old and has an old version of BIND and it seems to have some lookup issues, want to get it updated to a more current version. I have been unable to get the Syslog function to work that has been set in boot disk. I have a seperate RH 7.3 box that I use for proxy and content filtering that I "think" is set up to receive Syslog messages and it does not seem to work. So basicly I am looking for an updated copy of this or direction on how to set up a basic RH config to do something similar. Sorry I am too cheep to get DSL and this has worked fine in the past, just needs updated I guess. Anyone out there willing to give me a direction to go?

John Humphrey
