Question Linux command??

Hi guys, I just wanted to know if this is a Linux command or what does it mean:
"To create a config file, run streamTranscoder -C -c myconfig.cfg
This will create an example config file that you will need to edit and enter your details." I got this info. from the README file.

I'm trying to install StreamTranscoder

Thanks...

I am not sure of the question, but basically, its a program that will automatically generate a file that you will have to edit to your specifications - there will likely be lots of comments telling you what needs to go where in the file. The myconfig.cfg is the resulting filename. If you called it MyStupidlyNamedStreamTranscoderConfigurationFileCreatedDecember132004.cfg it would create a file of the same name.

The -C -c are flags - instructions that tell the computer you're doing a particular thing. Since it's -C -c, I would imagine it means "configure"

Type the command just as it says. Depending on the location, you MAY need to be root although you likely do not.

Just to clarify:

the command you would run (from the console/terminal) would be:

streamTranscoder -C -c InsertYourDesiredConfigurationFileNameHere.cfg

I created the file, but now I don't know what to edit. Has anybody use StreamTranscoder? The file does not have clear comments where to make the changes. It is a bash shell script. Does anybody know where to get info on how to edit this file?

Thanks
