Linux Channel Bonding: active-backup mode

Hi

I try to configure my network interfaces for fault-tolerance and choose linux channel bonding with active backup mode.

Do I need any channel group configuration at switch end?

Regards
Rajiv

No, as the backup link will not transmit any traffic. You'd only need to configure the switch for mode 4 (802.3ad / etherchannel)
