Linux and Earthlink


I have Earthlink for my ISP. Can I use Linux to dialup?

Oh, yea...........here are the specks I use......
smtp.earthlink.net port 25
pop.earthlink.net port 110
DNS.......207.217.120.83
207.217.77.82

you have to configure kppp and enter these and also your Local dial up number.

Why I'm having "Unknown host" error when connected to a modem. I have the ppp0 IP, dns, password, login ID. Any ideas?
