Linux Alternative to Auto-it

Is there an Linux alternative to the Auto-it Program in Windows? I've installed some Window-based application in Linux and I would like to automate the tasks inside the Windows apps using Auto-it.

So, obviously I cannot use cron or some shell script. It has to be a Linux program that works in the Gnome Desktop... Anyone knows?

Yes
There is actually a pretty similar equivalent that runs on Linux/Windows/Mac.
It's called javAuto and it has a lot of the same commands that AutoIT does like mouseMove, mouseClick, pixelSearch, sleep, msgBox, etc.
