Linspire wont boot

i downloaded linspire_live_5.0.69.iso with my bittorent client from their site......burnt the cd as a iso image and when i tried to boot it, everything seemed fine till i got an error "Fatal: cd seach failed"

At first i thought maybe it was just a bad cd or my bittorent client, so i switch to azareus and download the iso again , burn it again as an image with no problems, then when i try to boot , same error...........im pretty sure im doing everything write.....

my hardware

CPU AMD 64 |3200+ ATHLON 939P

MB|MSI RS480M2-IL XPRESS200 RT

Video Card | RADEON® XPRESS 200

TWINMOS 512MB DDR PC-3200

Western Digital 80GB

FDD 1.44MB NEC|FD1231H-302 OEM BLK

DVD+/-RW 16x|NEC ND-3520A BK W/O SW

does anyone know why i cant get this to work ?

Check the file is complete by doing a md5sum check on it. If you are using MS then you need to get the app to do this. The md5sum value should be available where you downloaded it. Make sure you are burning the iso image with whatever software you are using.

Linspire and Xandros are both commercial versions. If you are impressed with Xandros give Ubuntu a try. It is very popular and there have been rave reviews. they will even post a free cd to you.
