Question LIDS or NO /usr/src/linux ?

I'm trying installing LIDS kernel patch. This link

http://www.lids.org/lids-faq/lids-faq.html#INSTALL-LIDS

says :

Apply the lids patch to the existing kernel sources:

bash$ cd /usr/src/linux
bash$ patch -p1 < /path/to/lids/patch/lids-lids_version-kernel_version.patch

But I don't have linux in /usr/src in Mandrake 9.1 kernel 2.4.21.

I was looking for it but can't find it.Do you know pls where is it in MDK?Thanx

Try: urpmf kernel-source to see if that version of the kernel-source is included. If not, you'll need to download the kernel-source from one of their ftp sites.
Is there a directory in /usr/src/ with a name that starts with
"linux-2.4.21". This is the one you want. If so, the "linux" directory is actually a link to one of the other directories. The source tree it points to is probably the current version of the kernel that your machine boots to by default.

thanx

Firstly Happy Birthday bro!

Ok.Thanks for reply.I found it,it is there.I was even searching and reading more and found out that best idea I could do is to install new 2.6.3 kernel.

Do you think I should concern more at installing the new kernel?I won't mess with this older one (which won't be ease for as me),and then do the new one.

Sorry for late reply,I wasn't here for few days.
