kmplayer opens folders when clicked

Whenever I am using konqueror with root permissions (so i can mount my extra hdd), whenever i click on a folder (single or double), it opens up in kmplayer and does not open in konqueror for browsing. why would this happen? this does not happen when i am logged in as a regular user and did not always happen as root. it only started recently, although i cannot think of anything that i might have done to cause this.

thanks,
jrtayloriv

Thumbs up

Well now, don't I feel stupid...File associations were somehow set to use kmplayer on folders.
