Kmail - a stupid question?

A couple of days ago, my boxed mandrake 9.1 dvd arrived - immediate install - absolutely brilliant - everything recognised (even my scanner) - configured everything ok then I notice that k-mail now deletes immediately, where as the previous version with mandrake 9.0 would pass mail's deleted from the inbox to the trash folder.

Is there something I'm missing here or is there something I need to configure in k-mail?

Because if not, what's the point of the trash folder??

regards

John

Next to the delete button, you will see a "send to trash" button. That's the one you need instead.

Cheers carlywarly,

how bloody moronic of me not to have even bothered to find that one - maybe I'll have a go at customising my kmail toolbar so I only get the delete with the trash!

regards

John

p.s. not sure about the "peace love and harmony" bit but the single ended class A valve amps plugged from a "Void" (not sure about tone arm or cartridge) and plugged into a pair of rather ancient electrostatic speakers called "Monolith 1's" blasting something loud and righteous to the uninitiated - Napalm Death comes to mind!

That would be a Voyd turntable, then. Very nice. I still use a heavily modified Thorens with class-A power supply and moving coil cartridge through transmission line speakers, often playing Nick Drake very quietly.

Yeah, that'd be the one.

I experienced one briefly, a friend used to run a company (If my memory is correct, he used to trade under the name "Audion") and used a voyd as his front end for testing amps (they were vvv smart looking and sounded brilliant) as they finished the building. But, at about 3k for a pair of power amps, with the matching pre amp at 2k, they were a bit out of my league. But for testing, he used Donald Fagens "the night fly" and a Pink floyd track (I think it's on "the final cut") called "keep your filthy hands off my desert" (try it, but loud, real loud). Luckily, he used to get his speakers cheap, B&W are just along the road in worthing.

I did once, have a thorens TD160 with a tone arm made here it was an earlier model than they show on their site, but I liked it. Shame I haven't got the money to "dabble" now!

regards

John
