Hmm, right, managed to unpack it, did make mrproper, then did make oldconfig to use as much of my exsiting config as possible, then make, then make install, then make modules_install.
According to what I think I know, thats about the extent of what I need to do.
BUT
The new kernal doesn't work full stop, the the 2.4 kernal does a panic, and throws an init error back at me (sorry, didn't catch it
)
So, can I rollback somehow, is can I fix it?
